Art Classes for Ukrainian Newcomer Children
UCAF-KUMF Gallery has a special program of free art classes for children that are newcomers to Canada. These art classes allow children to in a fun and supportive environment encouraging young artists the freedom to explore their potential, build confidence and strengthen self-esteem, and develop artmaking and critical thinking skills. Developing healthy communication skills and encouraging innovative thinking. Please note that these classes are only open to children that are newcomers to Canada under the CUAET program.

The target ages are
7 to 15 years old.

Classes are held on Mondays
(excluding holidays)

6:30pm to 8:30pm
inside the gallery at 145 Evans Ave.

Art classes are taught by Nataliya Valenyuk and her assistant, Vladyslava Chernega.

Parents can register their children by calling the KUMF Gallery during business hours or by coming in prior to the start of any class.

Monday-Wednesday: closed
Thursday & Friday: 1-6pm
Saturday & Sunday: 1-5pm

Christmas, Winter
Dec 15

“Frosted Trees” – White marker on a dark background, creating delicate, icy landscapes with contrast and simplicity.

“Christmas Tree Celebration” – Festive composition highlighting the textures and colors of holiday decorations.

“Holiday Gift Art” – Crafting seasonal-themed artworks using mixed media, inspired by the spirit of giving.
